COMPETITION DESCRIPTIONS

Wonder League Robotics Competition

This is a virtual competition where students will complete coding challenges with Dot, Dash and Cue robots.  Their code will be uploaded to the Wonder League portal and students are eligible for prizes.

VEX Robotics Competition

For the 2019-2020 season, the VEX IQ teams will take on the "Squared Away Challenge".  Team tasks include robot construction and programming for beginning to advanced levels. The season will culminate in February 2020 at a VEX IQ Competition at El Camino College. Keep in mind, VEX Team assignments are limited and based on student readiness and space available.

Games for Change (digital game creation)

Students will learn to create their own video games that must also address a way to improve our larger community.

WER (World Educational Robotics) International Contest

Students will build Krypton 6 robots and program them to complete 4 obstacles in preparation for an international competition (The 2020 WER US Open) to be held in Southern California in the summer of 2020.
